Arroyo City

Arroyo City is located in the Rio Grande Valley on the southern tip of Texas. It is situation on the Arroyo Colorado. It's an unspoiled getaway for fisherman, bird watchers and sun worshipers from across the country. It is a rustic fishing and bird watching area whose pace is still slow and easy. Accommodations range from fishing cabins with their own private lighted piers, to small motels and RV parks.

While Dona Clarita’s family came to help us care for her. Toni and I decided to take them to Arroyo City to barbeque. It was a nice day, and Toni brought her fishing rods for the kids. They had a blast. I barbequed, while everyone else watched, but it was worth it just to watch Dona Clarita on her wheelchair, legs propped up, and relaxing with her pony beer. Like she said, “The doctor said I should have one a day.”
